Rangers guild and mage guild (these 2 are missing). Right of the bat it's another clerics guild. Pausing the game was my friend in this one. I didn't lose a single hero to the Barlog and I think this quest was significantly easier than the Demon's advisor Use AoE heal as you need and summon spirit of kings when its back. When the spirit leaves, cast shield of chaos and plague on baron and rage of krolm again. When they start fighting do rage of krolm and summon the Spirit of Kings in a far off corner so that the Barlog just walks by your heroes as they score free hits (and levels) off him. WHen you have at least 50k gold place a large attack flag on baron and wait for your heroes to engage. Basically all you need to do now is sit around getting gold and continuing to distract Baron with the crown. I then built hall of lords and recruited my three strongest (a level 20 paladin, a level 25 dwarf and a level 30 wizard called gandalf). I cleared the map a little too quickly when I did it so I didn't have many heroes above level 10 (only clerics, warriors and rogues). Make sure you have researched the Rage of Krolm spell aswell as well as the shield of chaos, plague and aoe heal. Get the last 3 temples and clear the map of lairs. The baron tries to kill one but you use the crown to distract him constantly. I built the first three temples on holy ground and used the stone incantation spell 2x on each to build them. What I did was us the crown whenever it wasn't on CD in the southwest corner of the map, which is far away from most temples, I cleared most of the lairs with the starting heroes, I used the 50k to fully upgrade blacksmith/market/palace/guilds and buy dwarves and get the stone incantation spell. Don't get Krypta priestesses if you have paladins though.Īlso don't build any guard towers on this level because that just encourages the Baron to bring the pain in your town and his AoE will not only take out your guard towers but a good chunk of your town/heroes aswell. I would recomend only building 1 of each temple and getting all six (not the temple to lunlord or ice though, just the original six) Because firstly, a temple to agrela, dauros and helia will prevent the Barlog from building elemental spawns and by building the remaining three temples, the Barlog is afflicted with "Wrath of the Gods' which greatly nerfs his attack power. If you do so, the Lord will try to attack them and sometimes will run through your city, potentially causing a lot of damages. You can also get the temples for the Bersekers and Beastmasters, but I advise you not to build the all 6 temples. The only temples I built were Dauros and Augrela (healing?). Mages and Rogues will probably be killed by the AE before they can do anything, so you might not want to use them if they're not high-level enough. You'll need a high level Paladin for tanking. That done, you can use two or three parties with 1 or two healers in each to kill the boss. Some of your heroes will be killed in the process, but you should be okay. Once that is done, you can use the crown as a bait to attract the boss far away from the remaining corner (where he likes to hang out), and destroy the elementals' lairs one by one. Make sure to use the crown whenever the boss approaches you.Ĭlean the whole map, except for the north-west corner, to level up your heroes. When the daemon lord appears, use the holy avatar to tank him far away from town. Build the two missing guilds plus another priestess one right off the bat.Įxplore the whole map, except for the north-east corner (where most elementals come from).
